How To Paint Over Dark Walls

Step 1: If you are painting and decorating over an old dark wall of your rooms, then you must look for holes that are bound to be found. Fill the gaps with filler cement and then smoothen the surface evenly.

Step 2: You will need a white primer to cover the darker shade over the walls. a Primer can save you thousands of bucks by changing the paint range. We use the best quality primer to do the work that ensures the colour comes out perfectly dry, leaving no dark base colour. The primer helps soften a light base colour making and hinders the bold colour from highlighting.

Step 3: Now, it’s time to paint the wall with the first coat. Take a paint roller and paint the wall in the shapes of “M” or “W”. Let the paint dry off before applying the second coat.

Step 4: Once the paint is completely dried up, apply a second coat to cover all the areas with the previous colour. Let the paint dry.

It may take a maximum of six hours to dry the paint completely; however, giving it 24 hours will be the best.
